Mentoring
Understanding the positive effect a caring adult can have in the life of a child, the Mentoring Program offers several kinds of mentoring relationships for adolescents in foster care and young adults. Mentoring services are offered in collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Athens County.
Summary of Services
Connection with intensive one-on-one mentoring provided by Appalachian MentorCorps AmeriCorps members (8-15 years)
Development of mentoring relationships with community members that can be sustained beyond time in placement (16 -21 years of age)
