Sojo Resiliency Center

About the Sojourners Resiliency Center:

Since October 2020 (with just a few interruptions due to COVID-19 restrictions) the Sojourners Resiliency Center has been open to serve young people ages 12 to 21 in Athens County, Ohio.

Located on the west side of Athens, near the Ohio University Campus, the Resiliency Center is a safe space with a comfortable environment for young people to relax, study, connect with community resources, enjoy recreation, and learn valuable skills for living. The Center features WiFi, shower facilities, and washer/dryer services–all available at no cost to young people.

Activities:

Regularly scheduled programs and activities are offered at the Resiliency Center–to help attain the goal of fostering capable, responsible, resilient young adults, able to thrive in the world of the 21st century. Activities are held Monday through Saturday and range from tutoring to cooking to yoga to building an effective resume. A schedule of currently active programs can be found in the calendar below.
